An Iowa man literally tried to take control of his car while in the passenger seat, wrenching the wheel from his wife and sending the car careening off the road.

The Des Moines Register reports that:

[The] 26-year-old man was charged with domestic assault and was being held at Polk County Jail. His 41-year-old wife suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Officers said the couple apparently got into a verbal quarrel, which escalated when the man began kicking the windshield and snapped the rearview mirror off. Officials said the man then grabbed the wheel, which caused the car to veer off the road and hit a cement wall. The vehicle then struck a small tree.

Hopefully the next car he chooses to beat up will be stationary.
